Síndrome de Down en la escuela: un estudio de caso

Abstract

Este trabajo de fin de grado, pretende acercarnos a esa realidad educativa mediante un estudio de caso de una niña con síndrome de Down. Dadas las cualidades de esta alteración genética, el objetivo principal por el que se regirá la investigación será conocer cómo se fomenta el desarrollo mental y los procesos cognitivos, a través de la comunicación y el lenguaje. En primer lugar, se presenta un breve recorrido histórico donde se muestra la evolución de esta alteración genética, seguido de las características y déficit que poseen, en cuanto a las áreas cognitivas y de lenguaje y comunicación. En segundo lugar, se encuentra una justificación de la investigación que se ha querido realizar, mostrando los objetivos, las personas que han participado, los instrumentos y técnicas de recogida de datos. Y por último, se realizará una triangulación de información entre los diferentes documentos, con la intención de analizar los datos recabados y ofrecer los resultados y conclusiones a las que se han llegado. Cabe destacar, que con el fin de mantener el anonimato de las personas que han colaborado en el presente estudio, se han modificado los nombres reales de los implicados y colaboradores, que han facilitado la información pertinente.

This end-of-grade project aims to bring us closer to this educational reality through a case study of a girl with Down syndrome. Given the qualities of this genetic alteration, the main objective by which the research will be governed will be to know how mental development and cognitive processes are fostered, through communication and language. In the first place, a brief historical journey is presented where the evolution of this genetic alteration is shown, followed by the characteristics and deficits that they have, in terms of the cognitive and language and communication areas. Secondly, there is a justification for the research that has been carried out, showing the objectives, the people who participated, the instruments and data collection techniques. And finally, there will be a triangulation of information between the different documents, with the intention of analyzing the data collected and offer the results and conclusions to which they have come. It should be noted that in order to maintain the anonymity of the people who have collaborated in the present study, the real names of those involved and collaborators have been modified, who have provided the pertinent information.
