Patrimônio arquitetônico cultural: o caso de Pinheiro Machado/RS

Abstract

O patrimônio arquitetônico cultural de uma cidade está intimamente ligado à identidade local, bem como aos valores históricos e artísticos dele. Sua preservação deve transcender gerações. Porém, o que de maneira geral se verifica é a ausência do seu registro. Este trabalho objetiva identificar o patrimônio arquitetônico da cidade de Pinheiro Machado/RS. Partiu-se de um inventário realizado a partir de fichas simplificadas, com base nas utilizadas pelo IPHAN. Os critérios adotados foram: sua relação com os valores históricos e artísticos; possuir algum significado, valor ou qualidade arquitetônica ou tipológica; possuir algum valor cultural, cultural simbólico ou histórico; e algum valor ou qualidade construtiva tecnológica ou plástica. Foram identificadas 29 edificações localizadas na área central da cidade, pertencentes aos séculos XIX e XX, que posteriormente foram classificadas de acordo com o seu valor.

The cultural architectural heritage of a city is intimately linked to the local identity as well as to historical and artistical values. Its preservation must transcend generations. However, what is generally verified is the lack of records. This article aims to identify the architectural heritage of the city of Pinheiro Machado/RS. It started with an inventory made from simplified files, based on the ones used by IPHAN. The criteria adopted were: the relation with artistical or historical values; having any architectural or typological significance, value or quality; having any cultural, symbolical cultural, or historical value; and any constructive, technological or plastic value or quality. Twenty nine buildings located in the central area of the city were identified. They belong to several historical periods, from 19th and 20th centuries, and were classified according to their value.
