dc.description.abstractThis project is based on the design and calculation about a solar photovoltaic installation for three residential buildings. Each residential building is made up of 10 houses located at the north of Tenerife, concretly in Los Realejos. This document explains and analyzes the diferent aspects that must be taken into account to develop a photovoltaic installation in residential buildings. We have to comment that the installation is carried out with the aim to produce savings in electrical energy for the residents. For this, we have carried out an investigation on the available space in each building, to determine the number of modules that we can place, and therefore, the maximum power that we will install. Subsequently, we have estimated the energy consumption of the 30 households to see if we can satisfy that demand with the calculated space. Finally, we evaluated various installation options and opted for the most effective in both the energy and economic fields. After evaluating what we have commented, we conclude that we can install a total of 206 modules. Knowing that we have used LG modules whose nominal power amounts to 340 W, the total installed power will be 70,04 kW. Therefore, we can affirm that we will have a photovoltaic installation with connection to the electrical grid with compensation, since we have a power of less than 100 kW. In this modality, there is an economic incentive for the sale of surplus energy, so it adapts perfectly to our conditions by having several hours throughout the day in which this phenomenon occurs. Finally, it is important to comment that this project includes planes for the installation of the modules, protections and cables, which provide very useful information for the people who will carry out the installation. In addition, a budget has been calculated where all economic aspects are taken into account.en
