Ajedrez como recurso educativo. Una revisión teórica.

Abstract

En este trabajo se ha llevado a cabo una revisión teórica con el objetivo de analizar los posibles beneficios del ajedrez como recurso educativo en la escuela. Buscando, desde la orientación educativa, diferentes y nuevas vías para promover la mejora de las capacidades cognitivas y socio-personales de los estudiantes. Para ello, se ha llevado a cabo una exposición y análisis de los estudios y artículos que abordan dicha temática, contrastando y examinando los resultados obtenidos por los diferentes autores. Se ha realizado una búsqueda de la literatura existente y tras aplicar diferentes criterios de selección se han escogido una serie de artículos que muestran, durante los últimos 10 años, cuáles han sido los avances y hallazgos de los investigadores en lo referido a la instrucción del ajedrez en el entorno educativo. Tras analizar dicha información, se ha llegado a la conclusión de que el ajedrez sí es un beneficioso recurso educativo para los estudiantes. A pesar de la escasez de literatura al respecto y de las opiniones contrapuestas de diferentes autores, el ajedrez ha demostrado poseer efectos beneficiosos en el desarrollo de los estudiantes.

In this work a theoretical review has been carried out in order to expose the benefits of chess as an educational resource in school. Looking for, from the educational orientation, different and new ways to promote the improvement of the cognitive and socio-personal capacities of the students. For this, an exhibition and analysis of the studies and articles that address this topic has been carried out, contrasting and examining the results obtained by the different authors. A search of the existing literature has been carried out and after applying different selection criteria, a series of articles have been chosen that show, during the last 10 years, what have been the advances and findings of researchers in relation to chess instruction in the educational environment. After analyzing this 3 information, it has been concluded that chess is a beneficial educational resource for students. Despite the scarcity of literature on the matter and the opposing opinions of different authors, chess has been shown to have beneficial effects on the development of students.
