Propuesta de intervención logopédica en esquizofrenia.

Abstract

La esquizofrenia es un trastorno mental grave caracterizado por distorsiones en el pensamiento, las percepciones, las emociones, la conciencia de uno mismo y la conducta. Pero además cabe destacar las alteraciones que presentan dentro del lenguaje, como sus capacidades lingüísticas y comunicativas. La intervención de este trastorno requiere de un abordaje integral, debido a sus dificultades presentes en las diferentes áreas de la vida del que la padece. Por lo que es necesario que se lleve a cabo a través de un equipo multidisciplinar formado por diferentes profesionales, como médicos, psicólogos, enfermeros, trabajadores sociales y en ocasiones terapeutas ocupacionales, siendo frecuente olvidarse del papel del/la logopeda dentro de este equipo. El lenguaje es vital para el ser humano, por ello este programa se desarrolló con el objetivo de dar constancia del valor de la logopedia, dentro del equipo encargado en la intervención de la patología. Así, las siguientes páginas se dedican a detallar un modo de intervenir desde esta disciplina. Se presentará un caso real, describiendo la evaluación, descripción e intervención destinadas a la mejora del lenguaje.

Schizophrenia is a serious mental disorder characterized by a series of distortions within which thoughts, perceptions, emotions, self- awareness and behavior are affected, but it should be noted the alterations that present within the language, such as their linguistic and communicative capacities. This type of disorder requires a comprehensive approach within its intervention, due to its difficulties present in the different areas of the life of the sufferer. This is done through a multidisciplinary team formed by psychiatry, psychology, nursing, social work and sometimes occupational therapy, but the place of the speech therapist within it is omitted. The intervention of this disorder requires a comprehensive approach, due to its difficulties present in the different areas of the life of the sufferer. Therefore, it´s necessary that it be carried out through a multidisciplinary team made up of different professionals, such as doctors, psychologists, nurses, social workers and sometimes occupational therapists, being frequent to forget the role of the speech therapist within this team. Language is vital for the human being, so this program was developed with the aim of projecting the need for integration of speech therapy within the team responsible for the intervention of the pathology. Thus, the following pages are dedicated detailing a way of intervening from this discipline. A real case will be presented, describing the evaluation, description and intervention aimed at improving language.
