dc.description.abstract | The aim of this study is to analyse the relationship between age, gender, personality traits, such as neuroticism and extraversion, with attitudes towards online advertising as well as attitudes towards privacy when using the internet. A sample of 88 participants with an average age of 31.7 years were given a questionnaire. The results show the presence of two factors in each main variable (Online advertising and Online privacy), on the one hand, Interest in online advertising and Rejection of online advertising, and on the other hand, Privacy Actions and privacy Concern. A statistically significant inverse correlation is found between Neuroticism and Privacy Concern, as well as a direct and statistically significant correlation between Extraversion and Actions for Privacy. With respect to socio-demographic variables, the variable age correlates directly and significantly with Privacy Concern, while both Interest in advertising and Rejection of advertising are significantly inversely correlated. Finally, there is no statistically significant effect of the sex variable with any of the four factors. | en |
