dc.description.abstract | The return to presential classes on last September, after several month of confinement because of COVID-19, has required a fast adaptation to answer the current sanitary needs. The schools have created different protocols, or even change their methodology to guarantee the safety of the students. However they left behind the emotional and social part that characterizes a school. This work aims to explore from the teacher's perspective the impact of COVID-19 in the classroom day-to-day, especially in the emotional, social and behaviors aspects, and also in the academic performance of the students. To carry out this investigation, a sum of 9 teachers of primary school from the city of San Cristobal de La Laguna, in Tenerife have been interviewed about their experiences during this scholar year The results confirm that, as expected, the COIVD has affected directly and indirectly the way to relate and behave of children, and how they experiment their emotions. The level of damage that this situation has created, depend on different aspects , as the age of the students, being the older the most harmed, or the characteristic of the familiar surroundings. Despite this, all students, regardless of their age or their environment, show symptoms of stress, such as demotivation, lack of concentration or irritability. | en |
