Itinerario semántico del término ἐπιούσιος en Mt 6,11 y Lc 11,3

Abstract

El término ἐπιούσιος que aparece en el testimonio más antiguo de la tradición textual de los evangelios de Mateo y Lucas, solo se encuentra atestiguado en estos textos y en los comentarios posteriores de los autores eclesiásticos que lo comentan e interpretan diversamente. El presente artículo propone la explicación de su origen, formación y significado en el contexto sociolingüístico de la baja Galilea de la mitad del s. I en que convivían el arameo y el griego, como término de argot de los grupos de seguidores de Jesús de Nazaret.

The word ἐπιούσιος which is found in the oldest witness of the textual tradition behind the Matthew’s and Luke’s gospels, only is attested in these texts and in the divergent commentaries to these passages by later ecclesiastical authors. The present paper proposes an explanation of its origin, structure and meaning in the sociolinguistic context of Galilee, in the middle of the first century a.D. in which coexisted the Aramaic and Greek as spoken languages, as an argot between the groups of followers of Jesus from Nazaret.
