Atención temprana en parálisis cerebral

Abstract

La parálisis cerebral infantil es una de las patologías en la que la intervención temprana resulta un paso previo indispensable. Nuestro trabajo de revisión teórica tiene como objetivo profundizar en el conocimiento y tratamiento de la atención temprana en dicho trastorno, fundamentalmente en el área del lenguaje, a fin de proponer un programa de intervención. A lo largo del trabajo, se pone de manifiesto el papel fundamental que juegan las familias con estos niños. Desde el ámbito logopédico ofreceremos pautas que los padres pueden desarrollar con sus hijos. Hay que tener en cuenta que esta población debe recibir apoyos y ayudas para conseguir una mejor calidad de vida, así como un desarrollo más eficaz de su autonomía personal.

Infantile cerebral palsy is one of the pathologies in which early intervention is crucial. The main aim of our theoretical revision study is to gain more in-depth knowledge of early childhood intervention in this pathology and it’s treatment, mainly in connection with language and communication, in order to provide and intervention program. Throughout this work, the fundamental role that families play on these children’s lives has been highlighted. From the speech therapy field, we offer guidelines that parents can develop with their children. It has to be taken in mind that this population should receive support and help to achieve a better quality of life and a more effective development of their personal autonomy.
