Humanización de los cuidados intensivos

Abstract

Actualmente, para entender el Sistema Sanitario, debemos hablar de humanización. La humanización no es una ideología, es un concepto muy amplio con bastante controversia, sin embargo, en él se establecen las bases del cuidado holístico. Dicho cuidado se debe integrar en cualquier actuación de los profesionales sanitarios. En las Unidades de Cuidados Intensivos cobra especial importancia el cuidado integral del paciente, y gracias a la información y a la formación durante el proceso de aprendizaje de los sanitarios, se pueden evitar conductas de deshumanización y la no personalización del paciente, para así poder brindar la mejor calidad asistencial posible, y paso a paso forjar un Sistema Sanitario ético y humano desde la base. El objetivo de este trabajo es conocer el grado de satisfacción con respecto a conductas de humanización, de los familiares de pacientes ingresados en el año 2020, en la Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos del Complejo Hospitalario Universitario de Canarias (CHUC). Se pretende evitar conductas de deshumanización y de no personalización de los enfermos, y ofrecer un cuidado integral. Se pasarán 5 cuestionarios con diferente número de preguntas que cubren las necesidades del estudio. El resultado de los cuestionarios se evaluará al finalizar la recogida de los datos, y no de manera individual. El análisis estadístico de datos se realizará con el programa Statistical Package for the Social Science (SPSS), en su versión en español (SPSS V.26)

Nowadays, to understand the Health System, it is necessary to talk about humanisation. Humanisation is not an ideology, it is a wide concept with a huge controversy, however within this idea the holistic care basis is stablished. This care must be integrated in any action taken by the Health System professionals. In the Intensive Care Units it is very important the whole care of the patient, and thanks to the information and the formation during the learning process of the Health System professionals, some dehumanised behaviours can be avoided to give the best assistance quality and thus, to build up a Health System absolutely ethic and human from the very basis. The objective of this project is to know the grade of the satisfaction dealing with the humanisation behaviours from the family relatives of patients hospitalized during the year 2021 in the Intensive Care Unit in the Complejo Hospitalario Universitario de Canarias (CHUC). IT is intended to avoid those dehumanized behaviours, the no personalization of the patients, and to offer an integral care. Five questionnaires will be given with a different variety of questions to cover the need of this study. The results of these questionnaires will be assessed at the end of the gathering of data, and not through an individual way. The statistical analysis of data will be done with the Statistical Package for the Social Science (SPSS) in the Spanish version (SPSS V.26).
