Since the assigntment of sex, certain social roles and personality traits are constructed in the
individual that will help in the creation and development of this person’s gender identity.
Sometimes it may differ from the one assigned at birth, being called trans people. These people
experience poor social and health care due to the binary and heteronormative structure of the
country’s health system. The main objective of this End of Degree work is to make visible the
importance of providing efficient, safe and quality health care to all trans users who come to the
Canary Health Service. To this end, a proposal for Health Education was designed where health
personnel can receive the necessary training to treat trans people, at any time in their lives.
