Pensar(se) con animales: la imaginería animalística en la poesía cancioneril castellana

Abstract

This work will delve into the metaphorical use that has been made of the animal to illus- trate emotions, bonds and human relationships, as well as specific political circumstances through the study of Castilian Cancionero poetry from the 15th century to the beginning of the 16th. Taking into account that from the 12th century, according to the historian Joyce Salisbury, a process of blurring the boundaries between humans and animals began, and that this process can be traced among other fields in literature, three levels of analysis are proposed according to the position that the enunciator takes in the texts with respect to the animal(s) cited. With this research we intend to contribute to studies that reflect on the role that animality plays in delimiting and accounting for humanity and how this responds to specific historical moments and cultural contexts.

En este trabajo se profundizará en el uso metafórico que se ha hecho del animal para ilustrar emociones, vínculos y relaciones humanas, así como circunstancias políticas específicas a través del estudio de la poesía cancioneril castellana del siglo xv hasta principios del xvi. Teniendo en cuenta que, según la historiadora Joyce Salisbury, a partir del siglo xii se inicia un proceso de desdibujamiento de los límites entre humanos y animales, y que este proceso puede rastrearse entre otros campos en la literatura, se proponen tres niveles de análisis, de acuerdo con la posición que toma el enunciador en los textos con respecto al o los animales citados. Con esta investigación nos proponemos contribuir a los estudios que reflexionan sobre el rol que cumple la animalidad a la hora de delimitar y dar cuenta de la humanidad y cómo esto responde a momentos históricos y contextos culturales específicos.
