| es_ES |
dc.description.abstract | This end-of-grade project research tries to explore the abandoned spaces on the island of Tenerife. It not only seeks, through a pictorial proposal, to show the beauty of the imperfections and the charm of these sites, but also to talk about a process that is much more complex, which is to understand the history of a site, what it was before and what it is today. Now, to what processes has it been subjected to since its abandonment and what have been the causes. Tenerife is a very particular and concrete place, which has many buildings in ruins, what is the explanation? In this work we will find the answers, taking the viewer, through a series of paintings, on a tour of the most iconic ruins on the island. But first, the use of the concept of ruin throughout history must be put into context. Where does it have its origins? How has it evolved through the centuries? How has it been represented in art? Therefore, a chronological line will be elaborated in which we will advance until today, trying to answer all these questions. | en |
