dc.description.abstract | The female sexuality, an almost unattainable freedom. Equality, a constant dispute through the course of history. The female body, a handicap for women, a temple for its owner. Skil, a pictorial support that helps tell the story. Technique and wáter, relevant components that should not go unnoticed. In this work, the painting is used as a narrative (the paintings, through the strength of the represented image, generate feelings and tell truths) tool to show how the female evolution happened, her body, laws and sexuality. Therefore, the pictorial representations look to distance itself from stereotypes, leaving history behind and its canon of beauty (as well as the social pressure that comes with it) and simply emphasize that it’s all about being part of yourself, to be everything for yourself. All of this reflected in a series of four paintings where the stress is carried by the “I” as the first person and only relevant in order to be the participant, the researcher and the speleologist of their own body, without forgetting that the journey is not over yet. | en |
