aprendizaje que favorecen la autonomía personal y el autoconcepto This work is an annual teaching programme for the subject of Spanish Language and
Literature in the final year of Compulsory Secondary Education. The contextual
framework in which the learning situations are developed is the Montessori School of
Santa Cruz de Tenerife, a state-subsidised education centre which is not totally attached
to Montessori methodologies, however, it does have a promotion and commitment on the
part of the centre to design learning situations with innovative educational perspectives.
These perspectives influence the subject matter of the programme presented in its
development through a communicative approach focused on the practical uses of
language in everyday life, and at the same time, in the initiation to the academic texts of
the following educational stage, in addition to teamwork, democratic and civic values of
inclusion, without neglecting the learning processes that favour personal autonomy and
self-concept.
