The learning process is continuous and active, it is influenced by extrinsic and intrinsic factors, the motivation is one of them. This study aimed to identify the perception of 32 students about strategies that help them to learn and motivate in the classroom. The results showed that the space repetition activities and note-making are perceived as the most preferred when learning, while the most motivating are the ones that favor discussion, participation, and technology platforms. The design and implementation of strategies in the classroom should be focused on generating active environments that motivate students into learning.
