estudiantes. ICTs provide a range of tools and resources that can complement and enrich the
school curriculum, while providing new forms of interaction and access to information. In

for their personal and social well-being. Emotional intelligence includes the ability to
recognize, understand, and regulate one's own emotions and those of others, as well as the
ability to form healthy relationships and make sound decisions. The main objective of this
Final Master's Project (TFM) is to explore the possible relationship observed by teachers and
students between information and communication technologies (ICT) and emotional
intelligence in primary school to improve literacy. emotional and student performance. For
this, a case study was carried out, in which different data collection strategies were
developed, such as focus groups with teachers and students. This research focuses on
answering the following question: how can ICTs contribute to the development of emotional
intelligence in schools? To answer this question, a study was conducted using qualitative
methods. Data were collected through interviews with teachers and students. The results
obtained show a positive correlation between the use of ICT and the development of
emotional intelligence. It has been observed that the appropriate use of information and
communication technologies favors emotional expression and understanding, promotes
cooperation, empathy and improves communication between individuals. In addition,
teachers find in ICT a valuable tool for emotional education. However, obstacles and
challenges have also been identified for the successful implementation of ICT in the
development of emotional intelligence in Primary Education. These barriers include the lack
of training of teachers in the use of ICT, limited technical resources and the resistance of
some teachers to change. Based on the data obtained, practical recommendations have been
made for teachers and decision makers in the field of education. These recommendations
include ensuring continuous and up-to-date instruction on the use of ICT, promoting the
effective integration of ICT into school curricula and facilitating collaboration between
teachers, and providing resources for the effective implementation of ICT in emotional
education. In summary, this TFM explores the relationship between ICT and emotional
intelligence in primary school, demonstrating that the proper use of ICT can be a valuable
tool to improve students' performance and emotional skills.
